The GHG Protocol
Our calculations are based on the GHG Protocol, the international reference for accounting greenhouse gas emissions. It structures the carbon footprint according to three families (direct emissions, purchased energy, value chain). In an event, most of the items covered by Petit Duc fall under the value chain of public travel, participant transport, followed by food, goods purchasing and waste material management.
Concretely, we cross-reference your operational data with recognized emission factors and methodological documentation that highlights cross-cutting weaknesses and offers improvement pathways.
